Optima to Partner with Second Wind Dreams to Improve the Experience of Aging, One Dream at a Time

ATLANTA, GA (August 17, 2017) – Optima Healthcare Solutions, a leading provider of cloud-based software for post-acute care providers, today announced its partnership with Second Wind Dreams, an international nonprofit that helps aging seniors realize lifelong dreams. Through this partnership, Optima will provide funding and volunteers to help Second Wind Dreams positively impact residents in long-term care facilities.

“Optima and Second Wind Dreams have a common mission to improve the experience of aging, which makes our partnership a natural fit,” said Josh Pickus, CEO of Optima. “We have been looking for an organization that is equally passionate about tangibly making seniors’ lives better, and we are thrilled to have found that in Second Wind Dreams. We look forward to making beautiful dreams come true together.”

In partnering with Second Wind Dreams, Optima will fund dream events for some very special long-term care residents. These dreams can range from reuniting seniors with their loved ones to getting them back on the dance floor or giving them the opportunity to spend a day in their favorite place in the world. As part of Optima’s commitment to helping seniors realize their dreams, the company’s employees will volunteer at long-term care facilities, where they will provide care packages and in-person support and companionship to residents and have the chance to uncover their wishes and fulfill their dreams.

“Optima is setting the example for everyone by committing resources and volunteers to keep the dreams of our greatest national treasure, our elders, alive,” said P.K. Beville, Founder & CEO of Second Wind Dreams. “We are honored that Optima is now a part of our mission to change the perception of aging from one of societal neglect to a place of prominence.”

Optima is beginning the program in the Atlanta area and plans to expand it to its Florida and Utah locations.
